What does Después mean?
In Spanish, Después means "after." For us, it represents what comes after encountering Jesus, a new beginning and a transformed life.
Después Coffee began as a God-given dream to build community through surfing and serve exceptional coffee to our friends. Founded by husband and wife team Jared and D’Erika Celosse, our journey is rooted in 2 Corinthians 5:17: “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”
That belief fuels our commitment to excellence in everything we do. When you invite Después Coffee to your event, you are getting more than great coffee. You are experiencing heartfelt hospitality and service done with purpose.
Meet The Owners
Jared and D’Erika Celosse are the founders and owners of Después Coffee.
Before starting Después, Jared and D’Erika were coffee-hobbyists, which is just a nice way of saying coffee-addicts. As much as they loved coffee, they loved the moments they shared with their community over an amazing cup of coffee so much more. With this in mind, they began to pray about starting their coffee cart — Después Coffee.
Jared got the idea to call the company “Después” during his prayer time with God. He spent the following months praying and discerning when they would start and what starting would look like. When D’Erika was initially asked to start the coffee cart with Jared, she emphatically said, “No”. But after much prayer and consideration, she felt a peace from God about starting the coffee, and they began to move forward with their preparation and launch in May 2025.
Since starting the company, Jared and D’Erika have fallen in love with running a business together. Through every challenge and new lesson in entrepreneurship, Jared and D’Erika get closer to each other and to God.
