Coffee Cart Catering at the Anaheim Convention Center: What to Know

The Anaheim Convention Center is one of the busiest event venues on the West Coast. On any given week it's hosting a trade show, an industry conference, a product launch, or a corporate summit — often multiple events at once. If you're an event planner, exhibitor, or brand team with a presence there, you already know how much is competing for attendee attention.

A specialty coffee cart is one of the most effective ways to draw people to your booth or activation space, keep them there, and make sure they remember the experience. Here's what you need to know about making it work at the Anaheim Convention Center.

Why Coffee Works So Well at Convention Center Events

Trade shows and conferences run long. Attendees are on their feet, bouncing between sessions and exhibit halls, and by mid-morning the hotel lobby coffee is a distant memory. A high-quality espresso bar is a genuine draw — people will seek it out, wait in line for it, and tell others where to find it.

For exhibitors, this creates a natural traffic driver. Instead of hoping attendees wander to your booth, you give them a reason to come. Once they're there, waiting for a drink, your team has a relaxed window to start a conversation.

For conference organizers and corporate sponsors, a branded coffee experience signals investment in the attendee experience — which reflects directly on your brand.

Vendor and Exhibitor Policies

The Anaheim Convention Center has its own food and beverage policies that vary by event and contract. In most cases, exhibitors working with an outside catering vendor need approval from both the venue and the event organizer before confirming a booking.

The most important step: check your exhibitor agreement and contact the event organizer early. Some events have an exclusive catering contract with their own vendor; others allow outside vendors in specific capacities. We've navigated this with clients before and can help you understand what to ask for.

Space and Setup Requirements

Our cart setup requires:

  • A dedicated footprint of approximately 6×8 feet, including the cart and the barista's working space

  • Access to a standard 110V power outlet for the espresso machine

  • Clearance for attendee queuing — we recommend allowing an additional 6–10 feet in front of the cart for a natural line to form without blocking adjacent booth traffic

If your space is tight, we can discuss setup configurations that work within your footprint.

Water Access

Professional espresso machines require a water source. For events where direct plumbing isn't available — which is common in exhibit halls — we use a self-contained water system. Let us know your setup when you inquire and we'll confirm the right approach for your event.

Load-In and Timing

The Anaheim Convention Center has specific load-in windows that vary by event. We coordinate directly with your team on timing and work within whatever access window your exhibitor agreement provides. For trade shows with early morning opens, we recommend scheduling our arrival at least 60–90 minutes before the hall opens to the public.

What to Expect from a Branded Coffee Experience

For most clients at the Convention Center, the goal isn't just coffee — it's a branded touchpoint. Here's what we offer:

Logo Latte Printing
Your company logo or campaign artwork printed directly onto each drink. Every cup that leaves your booth is a brand impression. See brand activations →

Custom Drink Menus
Name your drinks after your products, campaigns, or company values. It's a conversation starter that costs less than you'd think.

Branded Cups and Sleeves
Custom printed cups keep your brand visible as attendees carry their drinks through the exhibit hall.

Branded Cart Wrap
The cart itself becomes a branded element — your colors, your logo, your visual identity integrated into the physical setup.

What the Menu Looks Like

Every event includes a full specialty espresso menu made to order:

  • Espresso, Americano, Cappuccino, Latte, Cortado, Mocha

  • Matcha latte, chai latte, hot chocolate

  • Whole milk, oat milk, almond milk

  • Vanilla, caramel, hazelnut, and seasonal syrups

High-volume trade show environments move fast. Our baristas are trained for speed without sacrificing quality — a well-run two-barista setup can serve 60–80 drinks per hour at peak.

How Far in Advance Should You Book?

For Anaheim Convention Center events, we recommend reaching out 4–6 weeks in advance, especially for major trade shows where multiple exhibitors may be looking for the same service on the same dates. The sooner you confirm, the more flexibility you have on setup details, branding options, and staffing.
